SMASH TRAINING (GRAINY DRY MUSCLE – USABLE ALL YEAR)

Gary learned “Smash Training” in South Africa when he was just a boy training with his mentor in a home gym set up in a car garage. It was a grueling sweat box with no neon lights or music like what we have in today’s modern gyms and fitness centers. Unbeknown to Gary, this would become his ultimate weapon that would catapult him into the American national bodybuilding scene in 1986. His conditioning and muscle quality won him his pro – card and a chance to stand with the best in the world. At first he tried to play the size game, but in the 1988 for the Mr. Olympia he decided to go back to Smash Training and the results were remarkable! Smash Training made him the most shredded contestant, and gained him a huge following of fans all over the world. It relies heavily on the newly born “longer set” theory, challenging the limited system in which bodybuilders only use heavy weights for low repetitions. It also gave birth to his “trick count” system, where he uses hypnotic mind control to force the body to do more work. Smash psychology makes your mind control everything, making what you think is what you become. It’s physically very challenging. The program requirements and structure are as follows:

Smash requires very specific movements which if performed perfectly will result in the greatest force you have ever applied to your muscles. You are shown exact body positioning with very detailed hand and feet spacing. Execution involves the synergistic, efficient sequencing, activating prime – movers and stabilizers. Your sequencing efforts involve factors of position, direction, timing, rate, speed, and efforts of force applied. Smash movements engage large muscles and tie-ins.

Results / Feedback

Graining, dry, shredded, symmetrical muscles. Our clients see results within 3 weeks only if the technicality is applied correctly with passion and consistency. Once you Smash you cannot go back and do conventional training because it will seem like you not training. Your friends back home in the gym may at first express that you doing something wrong but in the end they will be interested in you showing them how to apply Smash.

MUSCLEDOM TRAINING (OFF SEASON – USABLE PERIODICALLY)

This is Gary’s off-season mass building system. When we say MASS we mean LEAN MASS because anything else is just water or fat that we eventually have to shed in order to showcase the muscle separation and quality. The system requires the use of heavier weights, specific movements and a carefully calculated increase of calories. The movements are different from Smash, and the pace from set to set is slower but the intensity still remains with each set. Gary tells us stories of him doing muscledom in the 2nd and 3rd year of his career where he used to do free squats all afternoon and eat rotisserie chicken and drink orange juice between sets. He has since fined tuned Muscledom and has for years used it very successfully as a professional bodybuilder. There are rumors in the bodybuilding world about Gary doing free squats to the floor with 405 pounds for sets of 50. He will not expect that from you but the best training program in the world is absolutely worthless without the knowledge to execute 100% properly, consistently and with intensity. This program does include teaching you the “trick count” system which is his hypnotic mind control that will push you to the utmost limits, proving that you are capable of doing much more than you currently do. The Boss Contest Program is where Gary Strydom, IFBB Pro/World Bodybuilding Champion, uses his famous “Black Book” to reference what he should do for you. This book lists years of his personal notes and contest preparation all in one. It covers cycles, food intake, cardio, weight training, posing, water manipulation, skin preparation and self-motivation. It’s not important to win, it’s important to make the other guy lose. If you are an athlete with aspirations to stand on stage and truly shine under the lights, the Boss Contest Program will serve you very well. It’s possible to learn by trial and error, but with guys around like Gary you cut out most of the errors because of the vast experience he brings to the table. Gary can be a great guide for you during a time that you may need a trained eye to keep you from straying off the narrow path. The contest training usually requires the client completes a Smash or Muscledom program. Well in advance we need a 16 week assessment that ensures us that your goals are aligned with your requests. 16 week assessment – Starting point – Info needed

An assessment of the following has to be made which will gives us an idea whether you could be competitive for the targeted competition.

Mass – Your current mass must be sufficiently relative to your frame and height to complete the muscularity round.

Symmetry – Your frame must have a balance of muscle proportionate enough to complete a symmetry round. Front, back and side.

Conditioning and weight – You must be in reasonably good shape. How much fat and water needs to be lost?

This is why we request a picture and a bio because we might suggest you perform Smash or Muscledom before you do Boss contest training. Once you are accepted the following is the 16 week split for this program:

16 week split

First 6 weeks – Establishing your “Mass factor”

Week 7- 13 - Grinding downward until we have the quality factor maintained.

Week 14 – 15 – Finishing and practicing for your back stage preparation.

Last week 14.5 - week 16 is for water manipulation, carb depletion, sodium loading + water flush and carb super compensation.

Three methods are attempted as an experiment before your show as each of us react differently to these loading techniques. This is knowledge that Gary Strydom used for over 26 years as a professional IFBB bodybuilder with numerous accreditations in the sport including Professional World Bodybuilding Champion.
